There are many things that I have on my "Bucket List" but the one I feel the strongest about is helping these homeless vets! Sure, some don't want the help and would rather be left alone. But there's a few things most people would never understand about these men and women, their story. Everyone has a story, right? Well just imagine theirs. They were off fighting for months/years, have been through hell and back, have seen and done things most civilians would never want to see or do in their lifetime. You just have to put yourself in their shoes. Statistics show that majority of these vets suffer from PTSD(Post Traumatic Stress Disorder)which is a huge reason why a lot of these vets are homeless. They need help. Especially the veterans from Vietnam. They had no one and no help when they returned home. They were pretty much shoved in a corner and were not given the respect that they deserve, and sadly most of our homeless vets are Vietnam Vets. Today's statistics are showing that Vets from today's war are now showing up on the streets more frequently as well. Sad.

I would love to be able to help get these courageous men and women off the streets and help them get the help they need. Help them get themselves back on their feet and show them their worth. They all deserve the best. They need to be listened to, they need to tell their story and maybe this "homeless veteran epidemic" will be no more!
