L.I.F.E.

It's definitely been a while! So much has happened since I last blogged! We've made a lot of great memories, dealt with some heart ache, got good news and quite a bit of bad but all in all it's life and that is what happens!

Lets start off with August! On August 12th 2010, Jimmy returned home from deployment!! It was such a nice homecoming! It was mid day( a HOT day) but the main man of our house was home so that's all that mattered to us!!
Here are some photos from Homecoming 2010:
The day after Jimmy came home from deployment he also re-enlisted for a third time!! So VERY PROUD of him!!

At the end of August, Jimmy went on Post-Deployment leave and we went to DISNEY WORLD!! Everyone that knows us, knows that, thats our favorite place to go!! My Mom and Sister came down from Pennsylvania to join us! We had such a great time!!
September- was a pretty chill month, we just stayed home and enjoyed each others company, and did a lot of fishing!

October- was a crazy month! There was so much happiness and heartache during this month. On October 2nd my cousin Jen was married! It was such a beautiful wedding!
A week later my cousin Ryan passed away at the young age of 22. It was a huge shock to our family. He was such a great guy, and will be missed tremendously by our family!

RIP-Ryan Ray Eugene Hewett

Also in October Jimmy was trying to get non-deployable orders. After four deployments it was time! I was praying like crazy that he would get something good. Well, he was not offered any sort of non-deployable jobs because at the time he was Staff select(about to get promoted to Ssgt) and there were not jobs available for that at the time. I was pissed! I really thought they would give him a break(and myself) but nooooo! So he was given a Kennel Master position for Dog Handlers. Which also meant ANOTHER DEPLOYMENT!!!! I have now "accepted" it :(

November- Nothing really exciting happened. We found out he would be deployed in the Spring and would be going to school for Dog Handling this month. Jimmy left for SC for Dog Handling school, for a month. Thankfully he was able to come home for Thanksgiving Day weekend, which was awesome! But that Sunday he headed back!

December- On the 1st, Jimmy was promoted to Staff Sergeant! The girls and I drove down to SC to see his promotion!! He definitely deserved it and are extremely proud of him!

The rest of the month, the girls and I spent our days watching Christmas movies and doing our 30 days of Christmas Crafts that we do every year! We also took another trip down to see Jimmy, which we also went to see some friends at Parris Island! Jimmy completed Dog Handling school on Dec 22nd and finally came home!
On December 23rd we drove to Pennsylvania to my parents house to spend Christmas with them! We had a great Christmas! The girls got too much, but they were happy to say the least!!
While up north we also were there for the first blizzard of the year! The girls were soo excited to be there for a snow storm!! They LOVE the snow!! We were supposed to leave the following morning of the storm BUT my cousin Missy had her baby in the middle of the blizzard so I obviously wanted to spend some time with them before we left!! I was so thrilled that the baby came before I left!!! My cousin Missy and I(were 1 year apart) grew up together, we lived next door to each other while we were younger, people thought we were sisters, due to our mothers(who are sisters) dressing us alike! Missy was in the room when I had Audri so it was an awesome surprise to be to be able to see her first child the day she was born!!

January-HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYONE!! I did not set any resolutions this year, I never follow through with them, so I saved myself the trouble of trying to figure one out LOL
We rang the New Years in with some friends at our house! Nice laid back time!!
Now we are preparing for Jimmy to leave again this month for deployment training in possibly Yuma and in California for a month. So that mean, the awful deployment#5 is coming SOON :(

Thats really about all for now! Im going to try my hardest to keep up with this, but I live a chaotic life so at times I forget! A Facebook friend of mine has been doing a 30 day Project and was kind enough to send me the details so I plan on starting that tomorrow!! Should be interesting and fun!!

Stay tuned for more from the Smith Family!
