How far along? 24 Weeks{6 Months!!}
Total weight gain: 20lbs!! not shabby for twins(same as a woman with one baby!!)!!
Maternity clothes? Yep!
Stretch marks? None from these babies yet!
Sleep: For some reason Mr. Sandman has neglected to give me the full sleeping dosage!! Party in my belly every morning at 4am!!
Best moment this week: Hearing from my doctor and the radiology technicians{yesterday}how great I am doing taking care of myself and growing twins without any complications{yet/hopefully none}
Miss Anything? Found out yesterday that I am no longer able to paint my own toenails :( I loose my breath after the first nail {hahaha}
Movement: Their still moving more then ever!!
Food cravings: Nothing new this week
Anything making you queasy or sick: There was one point the other day when the two were moving around so much that it literally made me sick to my stomach...I didn't get sick but it made me queasy lol
Gender: Still a boy and girl
Labor Signs: NONE!!!!!!
Symptoms: I have this bump in front of me that is literally growing by the day.....lol
Belly Button in or out? FLAT
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: I have been in a really good mood all week!!!
Looking forward to: Finishing their nursery!!
Last friday we got to go in for our last 3/4d ultrasound! Finally k-man let us see his sweet face!! Im sure its not going to look anything like that when he is born but to finally see our SONS face was amazing!! Since the week before only little lady wanted to show hers, of course on friday she wanted nothing to do with us seeing her!! We are so anxious to see these two babies that I have been growing!!
Yesterday I had another growth scan with the radiology department. I will be getting one every month, and then every week until they are born!
For my friends who do not have twins or have been pregnant with twins, let me just tell you its totally different then being pregnant with one. Its similar but different! Theres so many more risks involved with a multiple pregnancy, and the doctors are not afraid to scare you with all the possibilities and risks! From the moment I found out it was twins and still to this day, I am nervous about possibilities and outcomes. Pre-term labor is my biggest fear.
I went into pre-term with Ella at 31 weeks and they had to give me pills and shots to stop my labor. It was so scary. I do not wan to go through that with two!!!
My doctors and the technicians were/are so great to me!! They made me feel so good yesterday!! I have already made it to 6 months without any complications-pre-term labor-nothing. I have the normal aches and pains but who wouldn't. This is my fourth pregnancy and let alone it being twins! My cervix is still long and thick, which is GREAT!!! The babies are pretty "beefy" already lol They both measured in at 25 weeks exactly yesterday-only a week ahead so of course with it only being a week they will not change my due date-which I am ok with because their coming at the end of July anyway! They were laughing because at this point babies don't have "baby fat"{not until week 30ish} and these babies already have some lol but my babies are always born big and then turn into these little skinny minis!!!
I talked to them about if everything is going good and I don't go into labor on my own by 37 weeks what they are going to do and all they said was "these babies will be born by July 30th" If they are not BIG by that point they may let me go until August 4th but not to get my hopes up!!
13 weeks left until i'm 37 weeks!!!!
