Our ONE month olds and updates!!

We've survived the first month!!

Can you believe the twins are already a month old today?!! Either can we!!
Time sure seems to move faster with every child we have. But I can honestly say we have sucked up every moment so far, and have love every bit of it.

It has been an interesting first month but not bad at all. I thought the first month{or three}we would be walking zombies, but not once have we gotten there. There were times where I thought we were going to be but thank god for Jimmy and all his help we have come out of the first month like pros!

The twins are such good babies. We can already tell their personalities. Kian is SO laid back, he just hangs out, the only time you hear a peep out of him is if he's hungry or needs to be changed. He is already a Mamas boy{or so I hope lol} a lot of the times I talk to him, he will light up, start to smile and make noises, it is tooooooo cute!! I can not say enough how in love I am with that little boy! Kynlee, she is our drama queen. She's a good baby but LOVES attention already. She's the more demanding baby, if you don't give her, her food right away she will let out a scream...not a crying scream, its just one loud almost older child like scream lol its pretty funny.

They have both been doing amazing with eating as well. I am still breastfeeding, but I have also started supplementing with formula as well. If I didn't want to have a life, or interact with my other children I would still strictly be breastfeeding. But literally for the first 2 weeks I was constantly nursing the babies. I didn't have much time for much of any thing other then nursing. Especially have 3 other children, I just couldn't devote all my time to nursing as much as I wanted to. So I both breast and bottle feed through the day and strictly breast if they wake up at night. We haven't had an issue with it so that is a blessing!!

They sleep a minimum of 8 hours a night{heck yea!!} with an occasional wake up here or there but its few and far between lately. I don't know how we got so blessed with all 5 of our kids!! They also HAVE to sleep with each other-side by side. We do have a rolled blanket in between them so they don't roll on each other. Its just too cute!

With that being said with them needing to sleep with each other, it seems like they don't "notice" each other yet when one isnt there by the other its almost like they are lost and cant figure out why. I can't wait for them to finally acknowledge each other and be able to interact with one another!!!

Weights as of today{after they ate}-
Kian-8lbs 8oz
Kynlee-8lbs

Their both still so itty bitty. But the 8oz is a huge difference, Kian looks so massive next to Kynlee. His head is bigger, his body is more solid and is just a beast next to her. She is just tiny!!
They are both still wearing newborn diapers and clothes. And i think we still have a little bit more time in newborn. Crazy because the other girls were out of newborn everything by the time they were a month old!! They don't have their next appointment until they are 2 months old and that is when they will get their shots as well.

Other news in the Smith household
Audrianna and Ella started school last Thursday! Woohoo!!
They currently go to two different schools since Audrianna's school does not offer Ellas class which is transitional kindergarten{TK}Ella missed the kindergarten cut off here in California by THREE days! This is a 2 year kindergarten program, Ella is doing the same things as kindergarteners but just at a slower more hands on approach. So far she absolutely loves it! Audrianna is now a 1st grader!! So far she is loving it as well. Me on the other hand, im gonna be WORE out by the end of this year!! I am literally going from school to school all day. Ellas class is only half day. I have to wake up get ALL FIVE kids plus myself fed, bathed, dressed and out the door. I have to drop Audrianna off by 8am and then go to another communities school to drop Ella off by 855, which were always having to sit in the van and wait a bit since we have the time. I come home feed the babies, Paisley and the twins normally pass out by 10am of course another feeding for the twins in there again-I have to be out my door by 12pm to pick up Ella, then come home feed everyone lunch then be at Audri's school by 255 for her dismissal!! This is every day except Wednesdays where they BOTH get out of school at 12:25(still have to figure out how I'm going to do that one} So needless to say I'm going to be exhausted by weeks end EVERY week lol Paisley is also on the wait list for Head start and that will be in the mornings as well lol
Also Jimmy has been selected for Honor Guard-for those who don't know what that is, its doing SNCO active duty and retired Marines funerals. He has practice 2 times a week and will start doing funerals in September. Its a huge honor but I'm sure will pull at his heart strings. He will be the Marine to call off demands and then will be the one to hand the flag to the spouse or parent. Pretty touching yet it will I'm sure be hard for him but like he always he will do this with pride! He will be doing this from September to April and we will not be able to take any sort of leave in that time frame because of this. Other then all that, were all doing great!!!
