I want everyone to meet,
Savannah Rae
Savannah is my friends, Lindsey and Steven's daughter! I have been friends with Savannah's parents for well over ten years now! They are the ones who introduced Jimmy and I!!
I wanted to dedicate a blog to Savannah because she deserves it and today is her FIRST birthday, and Aunt Meg loves her to pieces!!
Savannah has been through so much since the day she was born, more then any child or adult that I know. She was not premature, but has quite a few medical issues. She spent the first two months of her life in the NICU(Neonatal Intensive Care Unit)and has been in and out of hospitals since then. She's been through several surgeries, more then most adults will ever have their entire life time, she just had another surgery a few weeks ago, and is doing GREAT!!!! There was a time when they didn't know if she would make it or not, but here she is today a ONE year old!! She can't do things that normal one year olds can, but I know Savannah will soon surpass all the kids her age and will be the smartest and healthiest kid going! She has a lot ahead of her, and a lot of obstacles to get through, but if you know Savannah, you KNOW she will succeed!! When I say she is one strong little girl, I mean it!! She's one tough little cookie!!
One person who deserves a lot of credit is her Mother Lindsey!! When Lindsey gave birth to Savannah her husband was deployed, thankfully her mom Michele was able to be by her side and be there for her!! Her husband Steven was able to come home right before Savannah had her first surgery, but had to leave very shortly after to finish up his seven month deployment. Lindsey and Steven also have a 3 year old daughter Avery, so needless to say Lindsey had a lot going on. She dealt with several doctors appointments every week, numerous hospital visits, a lot of the time being very scary but Lindsey is strong and held on for her daughters and did what she had to do! I am so proud of Lindsey, I could never imagine doing the things she has done and is doing but Lindsey is an amazing mother, and will always do what she has to do!!
So once again, HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAVANNAH RAE!!! We love you soo much and can't wait to see you succeed in life!!
Here's some photo's of Savannah from her small party last night:

Some can fly higher then others;
But each one flies the best it can.
Why compare one against the other?
Each one is different.
Each one is special.
Each one is beautiful.
