Day 30
(The Last Day!)
A picture of someone you miss
My cousin Ryan.
On October 11th 2010 my cousin Ryan committed Suicide. The following day October 12th, he passed away. He was 22 years old. This was one of the hardest things my family has ever had to deal with. Even though I didn't see Ryan that often, seeing I live in NC and he was a busy body back home, it doesn't help the situation any more. Now I wish I would have been able to spend more time with him while I was home.
If you knew Ryan you knew how awesome of a guy he was, he was filled with so much love and respect for people. No matter what he could always make you laugh, his jokes were priceless! He was in the Army National Guard and was going to school to be a Surgical technician, he would have graduated this winter. He had his whole life ahead of him, but things happen and he dealt with it the way he thought was best. My family is doing better, but my Aunt Teri(his Mom) and my cousin Leann(his sister) are still hurt but they are pushing through! LOVE YOU GUYS!! I come from a VERY close family, but Ryan has brought us all closer. He opened our eyes that life is short, don't take anyone for granted and tell everyone you love them as often as possible. I love my family, both the Zahorchak's(dad's side) and the Santos'(mom's side)sooooo much!!!
I will never forget the dream I had of him the night before he died. Crazy thing is, my brother had the same EXACT dream that night as well! My brother and I were having a hard time being all the way down in NC, while the whole family stayed by his side. My brother and I cried for hours, we couldn't just get up and drive home, though we did the next day.
Well in the dream, it was my brother, myself and Jimmy sitting in his hospital room with him, his head was wrapped in gauze but he was sitting up, smiling, laughing, and talking, but we couldn't hear what he was saying. We kept saying, "Ry, we can't hear you, but he just kept smiling. He was happy. At that point I knew he truly was in a better place. My brother said the next morning, "I had a dream about Ryan last night" I just looked at him and said me too!...then he went on and the first thing he said was, he was talking and smiling but we couldn't hear him....I stopped him right there and we said the dream together from beginning to end. It was crazy. The whole dream was EXACTLY the same, we both explained what the room looked like, how things were set up...it was crazy!! Call my brother and I crazy, but we believe Ry knew we couldn't be there to be with him and the family and that we were really upset about it so he came to us.
We Love & Miss you soo much Ryan
Hope your with Poppie, Uncle Buck and Uncle Eddie(today my Uncle Ed would have been 40 years old! He died when he was 19 in a motorcycle accident)

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.
