Well the vacation is now over. None the less it was, AMAZING!
Everything went smoothly and perfectly!
All the thousands of dollars we spent on this vacation, all the countless hours I spent planning this and the time Jimmy and I got to spend alone together was so worth it!
Here's how our vacation went, with a few photos(for now)
Friday March 4th, we flew to MIAMI!!
We decided to fly out a day before the cruise to be able to relax and get everything situated! We spent the day by the water/pool relaxing with some drinks!!
Saturday March 5th
Set Sail Day!!
Everything went so smooth! We got to the port early, we stood on-line for less then 10 minutes, went through all the securities, checked in, got our room key and only had to wait a half hour before boarding the ship!!
Waiting in the cruise terminal to board the ship!! |
As everyone who has cruised before knows, you can't go straight to your room once you board, you usually have to wait a few hours until the doors are open. So Jimmy and I decided to get some drinks and relax until they opened the doors!
Amazing. |
When they finally opened the doors, we went and checked out our room! LOVED it!! We practically lived on the balcony the whole time we were in our room!!
My spot.
That early evening, we set sail for our vacation!
Sunday Match 6th-Half Moon Cay, Bahamas-GORGEOUS!!
Jimmy and I were up and at em early! We walked around the top of the ship to get a 360 view of the Island. Gorgeous! The water looked like someone poured Kool-Aid of Jell-O into it!
Walking around the ship |
We spent a lot of the time relaxing on the beach, doing excursions and just sulking up Island life!
Amazing. |

Our private Island for the day! |
On our little boat, heading back to our big boat! |
Half Moon Cay was good to us!! After a great day there, we went back on ship and got ready for dinner and all the night time activities!
Dinner Time! |
Monday March 7th- We spent the day at Sea, we relaxed the whole day away!! We also had our first Elegant night!
Everyone was so impressed and in awe with Jimmy. As soon as we walked out of our room, Jimmy had people's heads turning! Old men and women cried, seriously. It took us over 2 hours to get to dinner, because everyone kept stopping Jimmy and I and thanking him for his service and saying how proud they were, it was so heart felt too. I am ALWAYS proud of my husband but the amount of pride I had in my husband those elegant nights while he was in his blues, left me speechless! There was also an Army Captain and a Sailor on the ship, and they even came and thanked Jimmy, they were a little jealous the amount of recognition Jimmy was getting(LOL, who could blame them though!). Medals and ribbons speak louder then words and even left them speechless and impressed! People wanted their pictures taken with him and I, even the photographers on ship were taking pictures with us!! We got the royal treatment on that ship! On the last sea day, they took our picture that we had gotten taken on the ship, and made an announcement through the ship and on the giant tv on the pool deck about Jimmy. Everyone stood up and clapped and cheered! Amazing!! Living on a Military base you don't always feel the support from the civilian world but when your far away from your normal surroundings and these people come up just to shake Jimmy's hand...without saying a word you could see it in their eyes how proud they were!! So to all your proud, grateful civilians, THANK YOU for supporting our troops, you will never understand how great that makes them feel with the smallest hand shake!!
Tuesday March 8th- St. Thomas-United States Virgin Islands
I have ALWAYS wanted to go there! Not only is one of the worlds top beaches there, its also a HUGE shopping district for Jewelry!!
We got off ship that morning, and got on a bus and went to Meagen's Bay, its ranked in the top 10 beaches in the world!! I have now been to three out of the ten, I will go to the seven before I die!! Once again, AMAZING!!
