As most of you know, because a lot of you followed my journey, seen before and after photos and personally seen me, I lost about 60lbs from March 2010 to August 2010! It was one of the hardest things i've ever done! But I was motivated, had 3 babies back to back, was almost 5 months post-partem and wanted to look damn good for my husband at homecoming!!
It's now been 5 months since Jimmys homecoming, and i've become lazy! I'm not gonna make any excuses for myself. I've been lazy, eating very unhealthy and have worked out maybe 5-7 times since August. Since Jimmy is preparing to deploy yet again, we've decided to go on a tropical vacation before he leaves seeing we barely ever get alone time together. Only problem is, i'm not happy with how I look, yet again! My body isn't as toned as it was 5 months ago, the bathing suit I wore to Disney World last summer, now makes me look like an exploded twinkie!
Since Jimmy is in California until mid/end of February, and we leave for vacation the first week of March i've decided to do an extreme 30 day work out and try to loose 10 pounds, PLUS tone my entire body back up!! I am determined to look and feel good in a bikini!!

Ok, I need to start this to "clear the air" because I have gotten some "negative" feedback on me wanting to loose 10 pounds. I quoted negative, because coming from them you could obviously tell they meant to say it negatively towards me but to me, it doesn't phase me, at all! I'm not doing this for anyone but myself!!! The 10lbs I am trying to loose it what I gained back after the first time I lost weight over the summer! I feel a million times better, physically and mentally since I lost so much weight! Some people are saying i've become obsessed and need to stop before I turn into a "twig" Well i'm sorry to say this but YES I am obsessed with working out, not extremely obsessed, but its a healthy obsessed! & I will never be a twig, I promise! My husband doesn't care how I l ook, when I was fat, he was still there, now that i've lost weight hes still here!! I think as long as I never get morbidly obese we'll be ok LOL!!!
So if you don't like that i'm loosing weight again, fuck off!!
Its been 8 days since I started working out again, and as of tonight I am down 5lbs!!!! I work my butt off and it pays off!! I know most of you are wondering how the hell did I managed that, its easy! SERIOUSLY!!! Not the sit on your butt while eating a bag of chips easy but its my easy LOL
Here's how I do it-
I don't drink any soda, or as some people call it, Pop
Mostly water and occasionally Juice or Iced Tea
I watch what I eat!! Its not hard to eat healthy you just have to have self control!
I live by-PORTION C ONTROL!!!
& the obvious Working out!!!
I started watching the show on A&E called HEAVY ! Awesome show, and definitely shows if you have enough dedication to yourself its easy to loose the weight you want/need off!! The people on the show are what the show is called, Heavy! They go to this place for a month to show them how to eat properly and work out, and then they are let back home for 5/6 months to loose the weight, if they don't, they have to return to the place they were at!! That show really makes me want to become a Fitness Trainer and start helping people!! So, if you haven't watched the show I definitely recommend it!! Monday nights @ 10pm!!! A quote from a Man named Tom from this past weeks episode-"No food tastes as good as skinny feels"-Tom
As of today I have 37 days until we leave for our Cruise!!! I'm STOKED!!!

I've had a few people ask me to re-post my before and after photo from my first weight loss journey, last year. Here's the one I quickly put up and took down on Facebook over the summer for all to see-
I literally get sick to my stomach when I look at my before photos!
I always think, "How did I let myself get like that?"
In all reality its normal for most stay at home mothers to "let themselves go" We have to deal with every day stresses of our home, deal with children, a spouse and your constant worrying about everyone else and their needs before your own. It came to a point where enough was enough, I lost all respect for myself when I looked in the mirror! I knew I had to "fix" myself and I wanted to shock the hell out of my husband when he returned home from deployment.
I will NEVER let myself get like that again!!!

I weighed myself in this week-
I REACHED my new goal weight- even PASSED it by a few pounds!!
This is the smallest i've been my entire adulthood!!
Now its on to TONING up some more!!
I'll post new photos tomorrow!!
A few people have recently asked me why I just don't jump the gun and become a full out fitness/personal trainer.
Ever since I stated working out last year and started loosing weight, I became a huge motivator!! (Ask my good friend Cari...right Cari? LOL I had her working out with me a lot last year)
I would always say to myself, "If I can reach my goal, I'm becoming a fitness/personal trainer"
I wanted to make sure I could become fit myself before trying to help someone else. I didn't want to fail at my goals and fail someone else too!
I've considered it over and over again. I'm currently working with a few ladies to loose weight and get fit(who have lost an awesome amount already!!SUPER proud!!)
and I LOVE it!! I love feeling their excitement and their pride!! Reminds me of me going through my first journey!!
But the thing that gets me is how do you charge someone for that??
I know, extra money, GREAT...but...I feel like I get enough just from their "Thank You's" and praises towards me!
Aren't we trying to make America healthy again after this Obesity epidemic?
Yes, people need to make money and everyone has their own opinions, this is just mine!
Who know's we'll see! For now I truly enjoy working with these ladies!!

It's been almost 2 weeks since I updated this blog. Not a lot has changed in my weight loss since I have already achieved my goal. I've been mostly toning and strengthening, which has been going fabulous!
I have not found a bikini yet. I have tried on several but I have not found anything i'm crazy about yet. Something that I am torn about it, I need to get a push-up top. Since loosing sooo much weight, I have also went down a few sizes in the "bra department" ...
Last March when I first started my weight loss journey, I was a 36DD, now I am a 34C, I can even fit into a 32C in some places. Well as all you Mommies, or most of you know, after having babies(x3) and breastfeeding, your boobs will never be the same. Now I see why some women get implants and lifts. I would so do it after I have the last baby. I say that now but all I can think about is the pain, and I immediately think other wise.
Since Jimmy has come home we have started working out together at night. Of course, he does weight lifting, because that man has NEVER had an ounce of fat on his body! But like most men, he wants to be "buff"!! Everyone who knows him, knows he has some natural crazy muscle but he just wants to be bigger!
He's an AWESOME work out partner. He will NOT let me slack!! He had me doing an ab work out last night with weights, let's just say my abs are a little sore today! But it's so worth it, and maybe I can get those wash board abs I've wanted LOL
I will update with photo's soon...haven't taken any in almost 2 weeks!
10 days until we are in Miami waiting to cruise the Caribbean!!
So proud of myself for achieving my goal!!!

Well folks, I've completed and succeeded my 30 day extreme work out challenge/Journey to a bikini!
I am so proud of myself! I knew I could do it, but when you actually reach your goal and get to where you want to be, it is an amazing feeling, and the pride you feel for yourself is beyond words!!
I ended up going past my goal weight, not by a lot, but a good amount!
I will still be working out and updating this bikini blog, but like I said in an earlier post, it's all about toning and strengthening now! I want more muscle tone now!
I plan on doing some lifting once Jimmy deploys, which is soon!
I don't want to look like a body builder, I just want to look toned and tight!!
And......
I have FINALLY found a bikini that i'm "comfortable" in!!
I was going to post a photo of me in the bikini, but I figured I would post a photo of me in it from our vacation, because I went through this journey in hopes to wear a bikini on our vacation!! I will post my BIKINI photos!!
Less then 4 days until VACATION!!!!!
I have been asked numerous times how much I weigh...well what woman tells her weight?
I go back and forth if I want to tell people my weight or not, so for all you wondering....maybe one day soon I will tell lol take your guess if you want lol
And also, as for my stretch marks...I do have them bad, its one of my biggest insecurities, so I try to photo shop them out...as my friends, they'll tell you my stomach is BEAT UP from them LOL I also have moles on all over my body...always have :( I've had biopsy's done where some came back melanoma border line melanoma, I'm supposed to go every 6 months to get them checked...their another big insecurity! So for all those wondering...yes I have REALLY bad stretch marks! Thankfully they have lightened up A LOT and started tightening up!!

ReplyDeleteThanks ladies! When I lost weight, I didnt have love handles", my stomach was smaller and so were my legs and arms, it will put me right back to where I was when Jimmy came home!

ReplyDeleteI use myfitnesspal.com too! There's an app for iPhone and I think blackberry and it's just awesome how much it helps... Honestly it's how I lost my weight the first time ... 30lbs... But like you, since then I've been lazy with the weight thing b/c life got in the way...anyway, so I'm back to using it again too! 4 lbs down this week.... :) Goodluck! You already look great.

And, keep up with the fuck off attitude about people telling you that you are obsessed and getting too skinny. I've dealt with it all before. Ugh! Lol. Anyways, keep up the fabulous work. You look fabulous and SHOULD BE EXTREMELY PROUD OF YOURSELF!
