In My Skin

How do you feel in your "skin"?
Me in February 2011-Yes I actually have this photo up! :)

Since loosing so much weight over the past year, I have become very comfortable "in my skin". No I will not and do not bare it for the world to see. I am just finally comfortable with me.

Here is why I am typing this post-
Lately I have been getting heat from a lot of people about me loosing "too much weight" and I need to stop.
Actually, I'm good. I am not working out to(as people are saying) make myself vanish, I am working out to keep what I have accomplished maintained. I will not give up on what I have done. I have worked too damn hard to get where I am now at. Yes from working out I may loose another pound or two, but I am honestly wanting to tone.

I have done this the complete healthy way. I eat like I am supposed to(sometimes too much)
I WORK OUT
I am doing this for ME.
I do not ever want to go back to the old unhealthy me.

I understand people are just "trying to look out for me"
But I am SICK of hearing the same nasty remarks DAILY!!!
But some people must not understand that you just can't loose weight and just stop working out, stop eating healthy. You have to keep going with it to maintain it. Yea, you don't have to work as hard, but you still need to work at it.

There should be no reason for me to have this post to begin with, I shouldn't have to explain myself, but it has just now come to that point.

I am 5'3" and right where I am supposed to be for my height!

After years of struggling with my weight, and finally being where I have been wanting to be, you would think people would be happy for you, instead of nasty remarks.

So please people, STOP!!!

  1. Megan,
I started work out after something I rather not talk about destroyed my self esteem. I have only lost 40lb and people are already saying, "so are you going to keep going?". I look at them like are you crazy? The number has nothing to do with it. Its how you feel about yourself, but people don't get that! Anyway when I started loosing weight you had just accomplished your goal weight and I have to say your story really helped motivate me, so thanks for that!!!! And forget all those people who don't get it!!!
