Well Mr. Walrus our time has just about come to....
Welcome our Marine HOME!!!
We are in the teen days until MY HUSBAND & THEIR DADDY come HOME!!!!
Not much left to go at all...single digit percentage!!!! eeekkk!!! |
This is all so bittersweet!!
This may be our last Homecoming EVER!!!
Although I HATE HATE HATE deployments, homecomings are amazing.
It's really hard to explain how amazing a homecoming is, unless you personally have been through it.
The relief alone of having your husband out of a war zone and knowing he's safe is amazing.
But to be able to see him after so long brings a whirl wind of emotions!!
We are still surprising the girls!! I'm not worried about them "catching on"
They know I always start decorating days before homecoming, so this time I'm just going to wait until it gets really close to the date!! My Mom is coming down and will be taking the kids out of the house for the first night Jimmy is home. I have two different plans for surprises, it all just depends on what day he comes home on. He will only wait one night to see the kids and that will be hard enough for him, but it will be SO worth it!!! It gives us some alone time and will give the girls a memory to last them a lifetime!!!
Gahhhh, im practically in tears thinking about how close we are!! Its been 6 months already, we are in the 7th month of this deployment and we are done!!
Things are going to get crazy once Jimmy does get home!
We will be going up North for Veterans Day weekend for my brothers wedding, we are now not going to be spending Thanksgiving up there, we have decided to stay home and have Thanksgiving with just the 5 of us. We will be going home for Christmas, and that will be it for a while, because right after New Years we will be making that cross country trip to our new home in California!!
So be on the lookout....the Smith Family is almost back together again<3
