It's crazy that I have not updated my blog in MONTHS!!
So much has happened the past few months!!
But one of the most exciting things happened yesterday so I will make this blog solely on that!
Well as everyone knows!
We're EXPECTING!!
We started trying as soon as Jimmy came home from deployment, which obviously did not take long at all!!
I was not able to be seen in NC, due to the fact of holidays and we were getting ready to move so they just confirmed I was pregnant and told me to be seen in California as soon as we got there!
I was really upset about it but there was nothing I could do.
We finally got to California and of course it was taking a while to be seen and to get into a doctors office.
Last week on January 26th, I woke up bleeding. Not red blood, it was brown, meaning it was old blood. But to me, blood is blood and I was nervous! So I had to go up to the ER to be seen. The doctor confirmed that the blood was indeed old, probably from implantation. He did a quick and i mean quick(less then a minute)ultrasound, the doctor had no clue on how to use the Ultrasound machine, he even used the wrong probe. All he did was look at the "baby" and that was it. Gave me a picture of I have no idea what and said I was good to go home!
I had my follow up appointment/OB orientation yesterday and things quickly changed!
I was at the doctors from 9am-220pm. It was a long day! The first part of my day was all paper work just to be seen. Then they wanted to follow up with the ER visit.
I went by myself to this appointment because we didn't think they were going to give me another ultrasound but they sure enough did!
They started with an internal ultrasound first, its the clearest way to get an ultrasound. Right away you saw one baby! I was relieved! I had turned to talk to the nurse as the doctor was "looking around" All I heard next was "hmm thats interesting. You didn't tell me there were two in there" I just quickly excalimed "WHAT" LOL...I just kept repeating theres TWO in there...and there they both were clear as day on the screen. They were facing each other and had their heads up against each other! It was the sweetest sight! They were both moving around, and the doctor said they looked great! I just sat there staring at the screen. I was in awe that Jimmy and I created two more human beings.
I felt terrible that Jimmy was not there at that moment to witness for the first time our TWO miracle babies. But I came to the conclusion that surprising him would be just as special.
The doctor scanned them and they both were right on track to the day!
I also kept thinking how amazing it was. My family just suffered two heart aches. My cousin Ryan passed away October 2010 and my cousin Chelsea January 2012, and here I am pregnant with TWINS. I like to think this is their way of showing my family everything is ok, as much as we all hurt life goes on. I will probably have a break down if we find out there is both a boy and a girl! Absolutely amazing!
So after the ultrasound i sat there for a few minutes just flabbergasted! I honestly knew it all along, but I didn't believe my intuition. I had told my Mom, family and some friends I really thought there was two in there and always got the "Your crazy" response. Just 2 weeks ago i had a dream that my friend Lindsey and I were at my appointment and I found out I was having twins, the crazy thing is I remember what the ultrasound looked like in my dream, and its identical to what my ultrasound yesterday looked like!!
I decided not to call or tell a sole until I told Jimmy.
He was wondering what was going on because I had been there all days. So when I did call him to let him know I was on my way home, all I told him was to meet me outside. I wanted to tell him in private, without the girls around. The car ride was silent. My mind wandered endlessly.
As I pulled in our driveway, Jimmy was on our patio waiting. Today(Feb.1st) is his birthday. So all I did was hand him the ultrasound photos and said "Happy Birthday" lol he looked confused and had no idea why i was so excited. I pointed to the picture that was clearly TWO babies...his face turned red, and he kept repeating "Twins?" bahahaha After confirming to him that it is indeed TWO-TWINS he started laughing and had that huge smile grinning across his face!! He instantly wanted to shout it to the world just like I had. We first called my Mom and Dad and told them. They were SHOCKED! My Mom couldn't believe it and my Dad just said one has to be named Robert(after him) LOL We sent the photo to our family and shared our news! EVERYONE was shocked but soooo excited!! It was amazing to have such great news for our grieving family. My cousin Chelsea who was very close to my girls would have been ecstatic and on the first flight to CA! I just have this gut feeling she nudged God to bless us with two!!
The girls are in awe that they will be having TWO more siblings. Ella was the first to find out and she was clapping and yelling and was sooo happy. Paisley just kept looking at the ultrasound saying my babies!! Audrianna who was at school was the last to know. We told her and apparently she's known the whole time! She has an intuition like her mother! Over all they are excited, but I don't think they know what their in for! When these babies are born Audrianna will be 6 1/2, Ella will be almost 5 and Paisley close to being 3 and they are ready to help!!
Today we go back in to meet my actual doctor and get the scoop on everything. They didn't check to see how many placentas, if they are in the same sac or not. Hopefully today we'll get some answers! I'm due in August, but they told me yesterday that I will more then likely be taken in July to have them. thats FIVE months away. In FIVE months I could have FIVE kids....WOWZERS!!!
We have also decided to find out the sex of the babies. I was all for not finding out but now that theres TWO...I need to be prepared. Jimmy and I are going to go soon, like the next few weeks for a 3-4d ultrasound to find out!!! We have NOTHING. I gave away all our baby stuff so we have to start all over again! We have been asked by family to start a registry, so we definitely will be doing so. We plan on getting the car seats and stroller and possibly a few other big ticket items!
We are over the moon excited and feel completely blessed that we have two little miracles growing inside of me!!
Here they are!
